PCT User Survey reveals high satisfaction levels

The PCT continues to offer a strong, consistent and highly valued service, according to WIPO’s most recent PCT user satisfaction survey, carried out in late 2025. Overall, 90% of respondents said they were either “very satisfied” (44%) or “satisfied” (46%) with the PCT-related services provided by WIPO – in line with previous survey results from 2023 and 2021, and a slight increase on the 88% satisfaction rating in 2019. The survey is conducted every two years as part of WIPO’s ongoing efforts to monitor and continuously improve customer satisfaction. The latest survey was made available in all 10 PCT publication languages during the final quarter of 2025 and received more than 1,700 responses. Respondents were invited to rate a range of services such as processing of PCT applications by the International Bureau (IB) (including in its capacity as receiving Office), ePCT functions and services, PCT information resources and training provided by WIPO. They also had the opportunity to provide text comments and suggest areas for possible improvement. The IB is analyzing the survey feedback in detail with a view to further improving PCT services, and PCT users are as always also welcome to send comments and suggestions at any time to: pct.legal@wipo.int ​​​​​​​
