Help us improve our understanding of legal aid capacity and demand by sharing your knowledge and experience. Your valuable insights will strengthen legal aid and shape the future of legal aid delivery.
We will launch a survey for all providers who currently hold a live legal aid contract. The survey will open on 27 April 2026 and close on 1 June 2026.
This survey will help ourselves and the Ministry of Justice develop a more detailed understanding of market capacity and demand for legal aid services. Insights gained from the survey will also highlight the current challenges in how we work with our providers.
We will greatly appreciate providers completion of the survey; the higher the participation rate, the more valuable the insights we can gather to improve the quality of our services.
How will the survey work?
Providers with a live legal aid contract will receive an email and link for each of their offices on 27 April 2026.
The email will be sent to the member of staff nominated by the firm to act as their named liaison between their firm and the LAA. The email will be sent from ProviderSurvey@justice.gov.uk.
If you have not received your survey link by 5:00pm on 27 April 2026, please ask your nominated liaison to check their junk/spam folder. If the link is not there, please contact the LAA Insights Team on the email below to request the link.
