Alejandro Cabrera Clemente Dies in ICE Custody in Louisiana
ICE published a news release announcing the death of Alejandro Cabrera Clemente, a 49-year-old Mexican national, at Winn Correctional Center in Louisiana on April 11, 2026. Cabrera was found unresponsive and transported to Winn Parish Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased. He was in ICE custody pending removal proceedings. ICE Officers Hospitalized After Illegal Alien Evades Arrest in Baltimore

ICE Arrests Illegal Alien Wanted for Murder in Virginia
ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) officers arrested Marco Tulio Lopez-Romero, 44, in Reston, Virginia on March 31, 2026. Lopez-Romero is an illegal alien from El Salvador wanted for aggravated homicide in his home country. He illegally entered the United States in July 2016 and remained at large until his arrest, which was part of ICE's ongoing efforts to remove criminal alien fugitives from U.S. communities.

Houston Operation Seizes 12,000 Counterfeit Sports Items Worth $1.95M
HSI Houston, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and Houston Police Department seized 12,000 suspected counterfeit sports items with an estimated MSRP of $1.95 million during an April 2 operation targeting a Southwest Houston business. The enforcement was part of Operation Team Player, a nationwide multiagency initiative coordinated through the IPR Center to combat counterfeit merchandise sales. Last year, over 276,392 counterfeit sports items valued at $33.4 million MSRP were seized nationwide.

Detainee Death Notification - Vietnamese National at Miami Correctional Center
ICE released a detainee death notification for Tuan Van Bui, 55, a Vietnamese national who passed away April 1 at Miami Correctional Center in Bunker Hill, Indiana. Bui had a 2005 removal order and a extensive criminal history including robbery, assault, drug offenses, and weapons charges. The cause of death is under investigation. ICE has notified DHS oversight offices and next of kin per standard protocols.
