Consumer Cooperative Act Amendment Transfers Jurisdiction to SME Ministry

The Consumer Cooperative Act amendment bill passed the National Assembly plenary session on April 23, 2026, transferring supervisory jurisdiction over consumer cooperatives from the Korea Fair Trade Commission (KFTC) to the Ministry of SMEs and Startups (중기부).
