SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PAYMENT ROUTING
Application US20260099829A1 Kind: A1 Apr 09, 2026
Inventors
Derek John Zumsteg, Shamir Karkal
Abstract
A computer-implemented method for optimized payment routing includes receiving API messages from a plurality of enrolled users, where each API message contains a transaction request for transferring funds. The transaction request includes transaction information specifying a value of funds to be transferred, a source identifier, and a destination identifier. The method processes the API messages by accessing a collection of enrolled payment routes, where each payment route comprises a different combination of payment rails and payment providers for transferring funds. At least one payment rail is combined with different respective payment providers to create multiple routing options. The method selects an optimized payment route from the plurality of available payment routes based on the specific transaction requirements and submits a routing request to execute the transaction using the selected payment route in accordance with the transaction information. This approach enables dynamic optimization of payment routing by providing access to multiple payment networks and providers through a single interface.
