What changed
This document details a patent application (US20260087512A1) for a lottery game system designed to drive consumer spending at third-party retail establishments. The proposed system involves providing lottery tickets with indicia identifying specific vendors, crediting winnings to digital sub-wallets associated with those vendors, and offering incentives proportional to the amount spent at the vendor.
While this is a patent application and not a regulation, it outlines a business method that could impact how lottery operators and retailers structure promotional programs. Compliance officers in the gaming and retail sectors should be aware of such innovative incentive structures, though no immediate regulatory action is required as this is a patent application, not a rule or guidance.

Abstract
A system and method for play of a lottery bonus game encourages players to visit and spend winnings from the lottery game at a third party vendor establishment. Lottery tickets are provided having indicia thereon that identifies one of a plurality of third party vendors. The players have a personalized digital wallet that includes sub-wallets for each of the third party vendors. Upon a player redeeming a lottery ticket, the winnings from the winning lottery ticket are credited to the sub-wallet for the third party vendor identified on the winning lottery ticket. Instructions are provided to the player to visit and spend the winnings credited to the sub-wallet at the third party vendor establishment. An incentive is transferred to the player having a value proportional to the winnings spent at the third party vendor establishment.
