April 2026 FSA Update, MONEYVAL Preparations Highlighted
The Isle of Man Financial Services Authority has published its April 2026 bulletin, highlighting preparations for the MONEYVAL mutual evaluation and resources to help firms understand National Risk Assessment findings. The update covers legislative changes including revised bills following consultation, pensions framework modernisation, Travel Rule legislative changes taking effect, and minor updates to the AML/CFT Handbook.
IOM FSA Publishes Clickable Sector Guides for AML/CFT Risk Assessment
The Isle of Man Financial Services Authority has published a series of clickable sector guides to support Island firms with their National Risk Assessment obligations. The guides cover 13 sectors including banking, legal services, investment business, money transmission services, accountants, and others. These documents serve as one-stop-shops signposting to webinars, thematic reviews, factsheets, supervisory priorities, and sector-specific guidance.
Feedback Statement on Financial Services (Miscellaneous Provisions) Bill 2026
The Isle of Man Financial Services Authority published a Feedback Statement on 14 April 2026 responding to the public consultation on the Financial Services (Miscellaneous Provisions) Bill 2026. Following significant engagement from the financial services sector, the Authority revised civil penalty provisions for individuals, narrowing scope to controlled function roles and requiring contraventions to be significant and material. The Authority removed or deferred several other provisions, including extension of warning notice powers and certain appeal rights.
Sanctions Update Covers ISIL, Al-Qaida, Human Rights
The Isle of Man Financial Services Authority published a sanctions update on 1 April 2026, notifying regulated entities of recent changes to ISIL (Da'esh) and Al-Qaida sanctions, Global Human Rights sanctions, and UK General Licence adoptions. The updates were published by the Isle of Man Treasury, Customs and Immigration Division across multiple dates in March 2026.
