FMA Austria Explains Stablecoin Risks, Reserves, Investor Awareness

FMA Austria published a press release on 23 April 2026 introducing a new video in its '1 Minute – 1 Begriff' series explaining what stablecoins are, the risks associated with them, and what investors should be aware of when purchasing them. The FMA notes its role as the central national supervisory authority for authorisation and ongoing supervision of stablecoin issuers and crypto service providers under the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCAR).
