DORA Register Information Submission Deadline Update
Summary
The CSSF reminds financial entities that the deadline to submit their DORA register of information is 31 March 2026, with a later deadline of 30 June 2026 for third-country branches of credit institutions. As of 16 March, only 40% of entities have submitted their registers, and the CSSF urges prompt submission to address potential issues before ESA quality control checks in April.
What changed
The CSSF has issued a notice reminding financial entities of the upcoming deadline for submitting their Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) register of information. The primary deadline for most entities is 31 March 2026, while third-country branches of credit institutions have until 30 June 2026. The notice highlights that only 40% of required submissions have been received, urging entities to submit their registers promptly to allow time for issue resolution.
Financial entities must ensure their registers are submitted by the respective deadlines. They should also be prepared for potential quality control checks by the European Supervisory Authorities (ESAs) in April 2026. If registers are rejected by the ESAs, entities will need to fix errors and resubmit them to the CSSF before the end of April. Compliance officers should ensure their organizations have the necessary resources available throughout April to facilitate this validation process.
What to do next
- Submit DORA register of information by 31 March 2026 (or 30 June 2026 for third-country branches of credit institutions).
- Ensure availability of relevant resources throughout April 2026 to address potential ESA quality control issues and re-submissions.

DORA – Register of Information collection – Update
The CSSF would like to inform financial entities subject to DORA that are required to submit their register of information at individual or consolidated level to the CSSF of the following:
- The register of information has to be submitted to the CSSF by 31 March 2026, as indicated in the communiqué of 11 February, unless the submitting financial entity is a third-country branch of a credit institution, in which case the deadline is 30 June 2026 on a best effort basis, as indicated in the communiqué of 17 February.
- As of 16 March, only 40% of financial entities required to submit their register of information to the CSSF have done so. Given that the deadline is approaching we urge financial entities to submit their register of information as soon as possible so that potential issues can be addressed in a timely manner.
- As already indicated in the communiqué of 11 February, the CSSF will submit the registers to the ESA. The ESA will perform additional quality control checks throughout the month of April 2026. Should they detect additional errors and consequently refuse the register of information on their side, the submitting financial entity, which will be informed by the CSSF, is requested to fix the detected errors and re-submit its register of information to the CSSF which will then forward it again to the ESAs before end of April. Therefore, the CSSF advises submitting financial entities to ensure availability of relevant resources throughout the month of April to ensure a smooth validation process with the ESA.
