Bow High School wins 2026 FinLit 300 Championships
The team from Bow High School won the 2026 FinLit 300 championship on March 31, emerging victorious from a field of six finalists.
FinLit 300 is the "Financial Capability Challenge" from the New Hampshire Jump$tart Coalition. The "quiz bowl" style challenge tests student knowledge over multiple categories of financial literacy and is open to students and schools across the Granite State. New Hampshire Banking Department Commissioner Emelia Galdieri spoke with the teams during the lunch period.
Teams participated in online testing to narrow the final field down to the six remaining teams out of 14 that began the competition. Joining Bow in the championships were Inter-Lakes High School, Manchester Memorial High School, Trinity High School, Winnacunnet High School and 2025 champion Raymond High School.
"We are so proud of all of the high school teams who participated in this year’s FinLit300 program. The six teams who qualified for the state championship did not disappoint," said Dan Hebert, president of the NH Jump$tart Coalition. "Many of the matches were close contests. Thank you to Commissioner Galdieri and the Banking Department for supporting our efforts."
Commissioner Galdieri praised the enthusiasm of the teams.
"Congratulations to Bow High School on winning the FinLit300 competition. It was a pleasure to present at this year’s event and to see so many students energized about financial literacy," she said. "I spoke with the students about the Banking Department’s celebration of Financial Empowerment Month and the topics we’re highlighting on our website, including money management, financial literacy for young people, fraud prevention for vulnerable individuals, and a range of additional subjects such as escrow calculations and cryptocurrency."
