BNR Romania Reports March 2026 M3 Money Supply at 793.5B Lei

BNR Romania published March 2026 monetary statistics reporting M3 broad money supply increased 0.5% month-over-month to 793.5 billion lei (7.3% year-over-year). Non-government credit rose 1.1% to 453.8 billion lei, with lei-denominated credit representing 67.8% of the total. Deposits from non-government clients grew 0.7% to 673.2 billion lei, of which lei deposits accounted for 68.6%. Net foreign assets increased 2.7% while net domestic assets decreased 1.8% compared to the prior month. Data are provisional and subject to revision.
