AASB Board Meeting 219 Action Alert No. 246
The Australian Accounting Standards Board published Action Alert No. 246 following its 219th Board meeting on 19 March 2026. The Board made key decisions on the Not-for-Profit Private Sector Financial Reporting Framework (Tier 3), Conceptual Framework amendments for not-for-profit entities, and reviews of AASB 1060 and AASB 2020-2.
ASIC and AASB Release Climate Disclosure E-Learning Modules
The AASB has partnered with ASIC to publish e-learning modules on climate-related financial disclosures. The educational materials target entities not yet subject to sustainability reporting requirements but expected to commence reporting for financial years beginning on or after 1 July 2026. The first three modules are now available, with additional modules to follow.
Sustainability Reporting 2027–2031 Agenda Consultation and AASB S2 Guidance
The Australian Accounting Standards Board published its March 2026 Reporting Roundup, flagging a 2027–2031 agenda consultation (ITC57), a sustainability reporting event, a virtual roundtable and survey on AASB 18 application, and new AASB S2 guidance on the disclosure of material information. The announcements direct preparers and stakeholders to external consultation documents and registration pages. No compliance obligations or deadlines are imposed directly through this newsletter.
