Homeowners Insurance Zip Code Reporting Requirements
The Minnesota Department of Commerce issued Administrative Bulletin 2026-2, superseding all prior communications on zip code reporting under Minn. Stat. §65A.28. Insurers writing homeowner's insurance for properties in the seven-county metropolitan area or cities of the first class (Minneapolis, Saint Paul, Duluth, Rochester) must file annual reports by May 1. The bulletin provides filing instructions, templates, and an attestation form via the department's website.
Tennessee Insurance Division NAIC Reaccreditation
The Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance announced that its Insurance Division received reaccreditation from the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC). The five-year reaccreditation confirms that Tennessee's insurance regulatory framework meets NAIC financial solvency oversight standards for regulating multi-state insurers. Tennessee currently has 327,685 active licensed insurance producers and domestic insurers wrote $24 billion in premium volume in 2024.
