Safety Zone Established Willamette River Portland Oregon

The Coast Guard is establishing a safety zone on the Willamette River in Portland, Oregon. This zone restricts entry into a designated waterway area to protect persons, vessels, and the waterway during specific operations or events. The zone will be enforced from December 23, 2024 through January 5, 2025.

Vessel operators and persons in the affected area should expect navigation restrictions and should contact Coast Guard Sector Columbia River for authorization before entering the zone. Non-compliance with the safety zone may result in enforcement action under 33 CFR Part 165.
