Coast Guard Establishes Security Zone for Vice President's Milwaukee Visit

The Coast Guard is establishing a temporary security zone on certain waters of Milwaukee Harbor, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The zone encompasses all waters within a 250-yard radius of Discovery World at approximately coordinates 43.028°N, 087.909°W. The security zone is in effect during the Vice President's visit on December 18, 2024.

Affected parties including mariners, vessel operators, and individuals on the water must comply with the security zone restrictions. Entry into the zone is prohibited without prior authorization from the Coast Guard Patrol Commander. Non-compliance may result in civil penalties, criminal prosecution, or both. Vessels that require permission to transit the zone should contact the Patrol Commander via VHF-FM Channel 16.
