The determinations find that objects from foreign owners or custodians intended for exhibition at the Art Institute of Chicago's 'Willem de Kooning Drawing' exhibition possess cultural significance and that their temporary exhibition in the United States serves the national interest.

Museums, galleries, and art institutions importing foreign cultural property for temporary exhibitions should be aware that this determination provides authorization for these specific objects under the Cultural Property Importation Act.
