Summary

NHS Sussex Integrated Care Board has published a contract award notice for the East Sussex Memory Assessment Service. This notice amends a previous publication, confirming a direct award under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023 for an initial term of 12 months with an option to extend.

What changed

This notice serves as a confirmation of contract award for the East Sussex Memory Assessment Service, issued by NHS Sussex Integrated Care Board. It amends a previous notice (2026/S 000-013056) to clarify that the contract was awarded under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023, not the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. The award is a direct award under process C for an initial 12-month term from October 1, 2026, to September 30, 2027, with a 6-month extension option. The service value is £416,664 per annum, totaling £624,996 with the extension.

Regulated entities, particularly healthcare providers involved in procurement, should note this specific award mechanism and the applicable regulations. While this is a specific contract award and not a general rule change, it highlights the use of the Provider Selection Regime for healthcare services in the UK. No specific actions are required for general compliance officers based on this notice, but it serves as an informational update on procurement practices within the NHS.

This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) confirmation of contract award notice. This contract has been awarded under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. This contract has now been formally awarded using direct award process C.

This direct award is for an initial term of 12 months, from 01/10/2026 to 30/09/2027 with the option to extend for an additional period of 6 months to 31/03/2028.

The service value is £416,664.00 per annum; £624,996.00 total inclusive of 6-month extension.

There were two representations made for this intention to award which were dealt with by the NHS Sussex ICB panel/Deputy Director of Contracting. No conflicts of interest were identified amongst the local panel, and the representations were concluded upon.

Decision maker: Deputy Chief Delivery and Strategy Officer, and Director of Strategic Commissioning.

No conflicts of interest were declared.
