About this source
Grants.gov is the federal government's single portal for grant opportunities published by every federal agency that funds outside work: NIH, NSF, USDA, DOE, EPA, the State Department, USAID, and 19 more. Operated by the GSA, it carries everything from $5,000 small-business awards to $50 million research consortia. This feed tracks every newly posted opportunity, around 250 a month, with eligibility criteria, funding range, application window, and the agency contact. Watch this if you write grant applications, run a research office, manage federal compliance for a 501(c)(3), or scout overseas development funding for an NGO. GovPing publishes each opportunity as it appears.
What changed
BJA published a grant funding opportunity for the FY2025 Transforming Prison Cultures, Climates, and Spaces program, providing up to $1,000,000 through a cooperative agreement. The program, linked to Assistance Listing 16.812 (Second Chance Act Reentry Initiative), supports state departments of corrections in implementing the Safe Inside Initiative to improve prison safety, security, and staff retention.
Affected parties should note this is an invited-only opportunity — only applicants who received an official invitation letter from BJA are eligible to apply. The sole eligible applicant identified is Keystone Restituere Justice Center, Inc. State corrections departments seeking future participation should monitor BJA.ojp.gov for upcoming cycles, as this NOFO is categorized as a Continuation opportunity.
