Description

The U.S. Department of State’s Embassy Bridgetown and Embassy Grenada announces an open competition to implement a program to support the administration’s priority of Inspiring the Next Generation of Global Leaders. This open competition is for past participants (‘alumni’) of U.S. government-sponsored exchange programs to enable them to submit applications to the 2026 Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund (AEIF 2026). Proposals are sought from teams comprising of at least two alumni that meet all program eligibility requirements listed below. Exchange alumni interested in participating in AEIF 2026... must submit completed proposals to Bridgetownexchanges@state.gov by 11:59 PM (Atlantic Standard Time) on May 8, 2026.

Program Goals and Objectives:
The AEIF is a funding opportunity which is designed to strengthen the U.S. government’s relations with exchange alumni, advance foreign policy goals and highlight the US. government’s investment in professional and academic exchange programs. AEIF provides alumni of U.S. sponsored and facilitated exchange programs with funding to expand on skills gained during their exchange experience and to design and implement innovative solutions to global challenges facing their community. Since its inception in 2011, AEIF has funded approximately 500 alumni-led projects around the world through competitive global competition. This year, Embassy Bridgetown and Embassy Grenada through the AEIF 2026 will support the United States’ commitment of Inspiring the Next Generation of Global Leaders.
