What changed

Kent County Council has issued a market engagement notice to gather insights for future VCSE-led Mental Health Recovery and Prevention Services, currently known as Live Well Kent and Medway. The notice specifies that this is not a call for competition but an opportunity for interested organizations, including VCSEs, mental health providers, and community groups, to provide feedback that will inform service delivery. The engagement aims to improve recovery, prevent relapse, enhance health and social care outcomes, reduce suicide risk, and decrease the need for higher-level support for individuals with common and serious mental illness.

Organizations interested in participating must register via a provided link by midday on April 16, 2026. Virtual engagement sessions will be held from April 21-24, 2026, covering topics such as vision, needs, outcomes, innovation, and workforce. While this is a market engagement exercise and not a procurement, the insights gathered will shape the future service, which is set to begin on April 21, 2026, and end on April 26, 2026. There are no direct penalties mentioned for non-participation, but engagement is encouraged to influence future service design.
