Description
Provide crisis accommodation for customers who are owed a temporary accommodation duty by the Council (S188 & S193, Part 7 of Housing Act 1996) in circumstances where there are no availability in commissioned or non-commissioned supported accommodation.
The crisis accommodation provided will comply with the requirements of the Housing Act 2004. The properties will be checked by a HHSRS qualified person to ensure that they do not contain category 1 hazards as defined by the Housing Health and Safety Rating System. Where applicable a current gas safe certificate, electrical certificate and energy performance certificate must be available for inspection.
Temporary Accommodation should be fully equipped with furniture to a good standard and in accordance with the size of the unit to allow for immediate occupation by the Service user at the point of referral.
