Summary

USPTO published patent application US20260095430A1 for H3C Technologies covering network message routing with congestion management. The invention describes methods for domain egress routers to monitor link quality information and dynamically switch message transmission between domain interfaces when congestion is detected. The patent application (No. 18871312) was filed on September 30, 2024, and published on April 2, 2026.

What changed

H3C Technologies filed patent application US20260095430A1 describing methods and apparatus for network message routing with congestion management. The invention enables domain egress routers to exchange current link quality information with neighbor devices for both inbound and outbound directions. When congestion occurs on a first domain interface in a target direction, the system performs congestion adjustment to switch message transmission to a second domain interface. The technology covers CPC classifications H04L 51/214, H04L 47/11, H04L 47/125, H04L 51/06, and H04L 51/226.

Patent applications do not create regulatory obligations and require no compliance action. Technology companies developing network communication equipment should review the patent claims to assess potential intellectual property implications for their own products. The published application provides public notice of H3C's claimed innovations in traffic management and message routing.

Abstract

The present disclosure provides message forwarding methods, apparatuses, and electronic devices. In this example, any domain egress router interacts with a neighbor device to send current first link quality information of a local first domain interface (which includes current link quality information of the first domain interface in an inbound and/or outbound direction) and receive current second link quality information of a local second domain interface on the neighbor device sent by the neighbor device (which includes current link quality information of the second domain interface in the inbound and/or outbound direction). Based on the first and second link quality information, when congestion occurs on the first domain interface in a target direction (inbound direction or outbound direction), congestion adjustment is performed to switch a message from being transmitted in the target direction via the first domain interface to being transmitted in the target direction via the second domain interface.
