Summary

The Florida District Court of Appeal reversed an order revoking a probationer's probation. The court cited a related prior opinion in its decision. This marks the reversal of a delinquency court order.

What changed

The Florida District Court of Appeal, Second District, has reversed an order that revoked the probation of D.D.R. for misdemeanor battery, which had led to her adjudication of delinquency and placement in a moderate-risk facility. This decision is based on the court's prior ruling in a related case, D.D.R. v. State, 51 Fla. L. Weekly D226 (Fla. 2d DCA Feb. 6, 2026).

This ruling means the probation revocation is no longer in effect, and the case is remanded. While this specific order is reversed, it is part of a larger set of appeals related to consolidated revocation hearings. Legal professionals involved in similar cases should note the precedent set by the cited opinion and the potential for further appeals or challenges.

DISTRICT COURT OF APPEAL OF FLORIDA
SECOND DISTRICT

D.D.R.,

Appellant,

v.

STATE OF FLORIDA,

Appellee.

No. 2D2024-2828

March 13, 2026

Appeal from the Circuit Court for Pasco County; James R. Stearns,
Judge.

Blair Allen, Public Defender, and Tosha Cohen, Assistant Public
Defender, Bartow, for Appellant.

James Uthmeier, Attorney General, Tallahassee, and J. Wade Stidham,
Assistant Attorney General, Tampa, for Appellee.

PER CURIAM.
D.D.R. appeals an order revoking her probation for the offense of
misdemeanor battery, adjudicating her delinquent, and placing her in a
moderate risk facility. This is one of D.D.R.'s six appeals of similar
orders entered by the delinquency court after a consolidated revocation
hearing in all six cases. We reverse the order on the basis of this court's
recent opinion in the related case of D.D.R. v. State, 51 Fla. L. Weekly
D226 (Fla. 2d DCA Feb. 6, 2026).
Reversed and remanded.
