FDA has classified the device for sleep apnea testing based on mandibular movement into Class II (special controls), codifying the classification at 21 CFR 868.2376. The device is a prescription device intended to aid in evaluation of sleep apnea during sleep in patients suspected of having sleep breathing disorders. This De Novo classification, originally issued to Sunrise SA on January 7, 2022, establishes special controls that, combined with general controls, provide reasonable assurance of safety and effectiveness.
Flags at Half-Staff Honoring Sheriff William Earl Hilton
Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry has issued Executive Order JML, directing that the flags of the United States and the State of Louisiana be flown at half-staff over the State Capitol and all state buildings on Friday, March 27, 2026, from sunrise until sunset. The order honors former Rapides Parish Sheriff William Earl Hilton, who served in law enforcement for 50 years, retiring in 2020 after 24 years as Sheriff. Pay Domain Launch for Payments and Fintech Brands
ICANN is launching a new .pay generic top-level domain (gTLD) dedicated to online payment transactions. The domain will roll out in phases: Sunrise period (April-May 2026) for Trademark Clearinghouse holders, Limited Registration Period (May 2026-February 2027) for entities with approved payment processors, and General Availability (2027). Unlike most new gTLDs, .pay will not initially be covered by major domain blocking services, making direct registration the primary defensive option for brand owners in the payments and financial services sectors.
