Kentucky Governor Signs SB136 Amending Unemployment Insurance Fraud Referral Process

Kentucky Governor signed SB136 into law, amending KRS 341.416 to shift responsibility for referring suspected unemployment insurance fraud cases. The Education and Labor Cabinet is now required to refer suspected fraud cases to the United States Department of Labor. The Kentucky Justice and Public Safety Cabinet and the United States Department of Justice are removed from the required referral process.
