Radioactive Substances Activity Permit for NORM Waste Decommissioning, Consultation Open

The Environment Agency is consulting the public on an application from Petrofac Facilities Management Limited for a Radioactive Substances Activity permit to manage NORM (Naturally Occurring Radioactive Material) wastes arising from the offshore Hewett 48/29A-P and FTP topside and jacket decommissioning campaign, located in the Southern North Sea at coordinates 53° 01' 04.8" N; 01° 47' 45.4" E. The EA will decide whether to grant or refuse the permit and what conditions to include.
