U.S. Sanctions 8 Individuals, 4 Entities, Mahan Air for Iran Weapons Programs
The U.S. Department of State announced sanctions on eight individuals and four entities operating procurement networks that support Iran's unmanned aerial vehicle and ballistic missile programs, as well as U.S.-designated Mahan Air. Two aircraft have also been identified as blocked property of Mahan Air, which has previously transported IRGC operatives, weapons, equipment, and funds. The action was taken pursuant to Executive Orders 13382 and 13224 to counter Iran's weapons programs under Operation Epic Fury and NSPM-2.
Iranian Missile and UAV Procurement Networks Sanctioned Under Counter Terrorism and Non-Proliferation Programs
OFAC designated 7 individuals and 4 entities under Executive Order 13224 (Counter Terrorism) and related Non-Proliferation designations for their roles in Iranian missile and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) procurement networks. The designations target operatives and companies linked to Mahan Air, Sepehr Kaveh Kish International Trading Company, and other front companies. Two Mahan Air B777-200ER aircraft (EP-MTB and EP-MTE) were also added to the SDN List.
