Two Russian Disinformation Entities Added to EU Sanctions List

The Council of the European Union has adopted Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/885, amending Annex I of Regulation (EU) 2024/2642 to add two Russian disinformation entities to the EU sanctions list. The entities added are Euromore (also known as Euroview and Euroview Media), a Brussels-based media platform that amplifies pro-Kremlin narratives, and the Foundation for the Support and Protection of the Rights of Compatriots Living Abroad (Pravfond). Both entities are now subject to the restrictive measures under the EU's Russia sanctions regime, including asset freezes and prohibitions on making funds available to them.

Adds Euromore, Pravfond to Russia's Sanctions List

Council Decision (CFSP) 2026/884 amends Decision (CFSP) 2024/2643 to add two legal persons to the EU sanctions list in view of Russia's destabilising activities. Euromore (also known as Euroview/Euroview Media), a Brussels-registered media platform, and Pravfond (The Foundation for the Support and Protection of the Rights of Compatriots Living Abroad), a Moscow-registered foundation, are listed for information manipulation and foreign influence activities. Both entities are now subject to asset freezes and related restrictive measures.

EU Sanctions Euromore and Pravfond for Russian Disinformation

The Council of the EU adopted restrictive measures against Euromore, a pro-Kremlin media relay platform, and the Foundation for the Support and Protection of the Rights of Compatriots Living Abroad (Pravfond), a Russian state-founded and financed organisation. Euromore amplifies and recycles Russian disinformation narratives targeting European audiences and justifying Russia's war against Ukraine. Pravfond produces legal and analytical output reinforcing Kremlin disinformation points on alleged 'nazification' of Ukraine and 'Russophobia'. Both entities are now subject to an asset freeze, with all EU persons prohibited from making funds, financial assets, or economic resources available to them.
