Delta Natural Gas Merger Approved by Kentucky PSC

The Kentucky Public Service Commission approved the merger of American Water Works Company, Inc. with Essential Utilities, Inc., resulting in American Water becoming the ultimate corporate parent of Delta Natural Gas Company, Inc. The transaction is an equity-only merger in which Essential shareholders receive 0.305 shares of American Water common stock per share held.
