Christopher Trybus, 43, Cleared of Rape, Manslaughter Charges

Christopher Trybus, 43, was acquitted on all charges at Winchester Crown Court on 22 April 2026 after a seven-week trial. Trybus had faced charges of manslaughter, two counts of rape, and coercive and controlling behaviour towards his wife Tarryn Baird, 34, who died by suicide in November 2017. The jury deliberated for 40 hours and eight minutes before returning not guilty verdicts on all counts.
