The Executive Office of the President has issued a Presidential Permit to Bakken Pipeline Company LP, a Delaware limited partnership and subsidiary of Enbridge Inc., authorizing the construction, connection, operation, and maintenance of a 24-inch diameter pipeline at the U.S.-Canada international border near Portal, North Dakota. The permit authorizes cross-border transport of crude oil and petroleum products of every description, refined or unrefined, excluding natural gas subject to the Natural Gas Act. The permittee must still comply with all otherwise applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

The permittee is a Delaware limited partnership and subsidiary of Enbridge Inc., a Canadian corporation. This permit supersedes and revokes the prior Presidential permit issued April 8, 1996.
