EPA Opens 60-Day NPDES Program ICR Renewal Comment Period

The EPA is soliciting public comments on the renewal of its Information Collection Request (ICR) for the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Program (OMB Control No. 2040-0004). The ICR calculates the information collection burden on approximately 853,912 respondents—including POTWs, industrial and commercial facilities, construction sites, municipalities, and other point source discharge operators—with an estimated annual burden of 33,221,897 hours and $2,256,697,795 in total annual costs. Comments must be submitted on or before June 22, 2026.
