FERC has approved Northbrook Virginia Hydro, LLC and the City of Danville, Virginia to use the Traditional Licensing Process for the Pinnacles Hydroelectric Project (No. 10896-027) on the Dan River in Patrick, Henry, and Pittsylvania counties, Virginia. The notice initiates informal consultation under Section 7 of the Endangered Species Act with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and under Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act with the Virginia Department of Historic Resources. Northbrook and the City are designated as non-federal representatives for these consultations. All license applications for Project No. 10896 must be filed with FERC by April 30, 2029.
