Statement on Marion County Noncitizen Charged with Illegal Voting
Alabama Secretary of State Wes Allen issued a statement regarding a Marion County noncitizen charged with illegal voting. Earlier this year, his office referred 25 noncitizens who illegally voted in Alabama elections to federal law enforcement. The DOJ has now announced federal fraudulent voting charges against the Marion County resident. Secretary Allen reaffirmed his zero-tolerance policy for noncitizen voting and commitment to identifying and prosecuting noncitizens illegally registered to vote.
