FBI Proposes Rule for Child Protection Act Designated Entities

The FBI has issued an interim final rule allowing licensed firearm importers, manufacturers, and dealers to access NCIC records of stolen firearms. This rule implements provisions of the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act and is effective July 1, 2024, with a comment period closing July 31, 2024.
