DOE Final Determination on Metal Halide Lamp Fixture Energy Standards

The U.S. Department of Energy has issued a final determination that more stringent energy conservation standards for metal halide lamp fixtures (MHLFs) are not cost-effective. Therefore, DOE will not amend the existing energy conservation standards for MHLFs. This determination is effective March 16, 2026.

Energy Conservation Standards for Small Electric Motors Final Determination

The U.S. Department of Energy has issued a final determination that more stringent energy conservation standards for small electric motors would not be cost-effective. Therefore, the DOE has decided not to amend the existing energy conservation standards for these motors.
