DOE Final Determination on Metal Halide Lamp Fixture Energy Standards

The U.S. Department of Energy has issued a final determination that more stringent energy conservation standards for metal halide lamp fixtures (MHLFs) are not cost-effective. Therefore, DOE will not amend the existing energy conservation standards for MHLFs. This determination is effective March 16, 2026.
