What changed
The Arkansas Real Estate Commission announced the appointment of Melissa Goff as its new Executive Director, effective October 11, 2024. Goff succeeds the previous Executive Director, having served as Deputy Director for 3½ years before being named Interim Executive Director in August 2024. The appointment was approved by both the Real Estate Commissioners and Secretary Daryl Bassett of the Arkansas Department of Labor and Licensing.
This personnel change does not create any new compliance obligations or regulatory requirements for licensed real estate professionals, consumers, or other parties. The announcement is administrative in nature and reflects only a leadership transition at the regulatory agency. Licensed real estate professionals in Arkansas should continue to comply with existing AREC regulations and licensing requirements as normal.

Melissa Goff Named AREC Executive Director
October 11, 2024
A message from AREC Chair Tony Moore……
I am pleased to announce Ms. Melissa Goff as the new Executive Director of the Arkansas Real Estate Commission. Having served for the past 3 1/2 years as Deputy Director, Ms. Goff was chosen by the Commission to be the Interim Executive Director in August of this year. Along with the Real Estate Commissioners, she also received the approval of Secretary Daryl Bassett of the Arkansas Department of Labor and Licensing. As chairman I would like to thank the Commissioners and the Arkansas Department of Labor and Licensing for their hard work over the past few weeks while diligently seeking to find the very best person possible to serve the consumers of the Great State of Arkansas.
