What changed

The Ministry of Labour Thailand has issued an advisory regarding the safety and welfare of Thai workers deployed in Israel and Iran, responding to concerns about escalating tensions in the Middle East. The Minister has instructed Permanent Secretary Pol. Lt. Col. Wannapong Kotcharak to establish a war room at the Ministry of Labour (5th Floor) to coordinate assistance on a 24-hour basis. Coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has resulted in agreement to temporarily suspend the deployment of Thai workers to high-risk areas in the Middle East.

Affected Thai workers abroad should note the contact numbers provided for emergency consular assistance and continue to follow safety updates from Thai embassies and labour offices.
