What changed

The Motor Vehicle Commission proposes adding e-bikes with a maximum speed of 20 mph to the list of specialty vehicles exempt from its Administrative Rules. This would remove qualifying e-bikes from commission oversight entirely.\n\nE-bike manufacturers, distributors, and retailers operating in Arkansas should monitor this proposal closely. If adopted, e-bikes meeting the 20 mph speed threshold would no longer be subject to Motor Vehicle Commission requirements, potentially simplifying compliance pathways for these products in the state.
