New York liquid supplement found contaminated with potentially fatal foodborne toxin.
Liquid Blenz Corp of Rockville Center, NY recalled all codes of Good Brain Tonic (16 oz and 32 oz amber bottles) after analysis by Cornell Food Venture Center and New York State Department of Agriculture identified potential botulism contamination. The contamination was confirmed through laboratory testing, prompting the Class I recall designation reserved for the most serious health hazards.
Botulism is a rare but potentially fatal foodborne illness affecting the nervous system. Consumers who have purchased Good Brain Tonic should not consume the product and should dispose of it immediately.
