Abstract
An apparatus for pressing out bone cement from a cartridge, to a use of the apparatus, and to a system for pressing out bone cement. An apparatus for pressing out bone cement from a cartridge comprises a threaded rod with an external thread, a handle for rotating the threaded rod, and an adapter unit for mechanically connecting to a cartridge for bone cement. The adapter unit has a passage with an internal thread for the threaded rod. An outer surface of a thread turn of the external thread is not more than 370 mm2.
