Abstract

The present invention relates generally to methods and compositions useful for protecting skin from ultraviolet radiation. Disclosed are sunscreen compositions having Hansen solubility parameters suitable for solubilizing organic UV filters. Certain aspects describe sunscreen compositions comprising three or more film formers each having Hansen solubility parameters ΔD, ΔP, and ΔH between 3 and 4 units of one another and an organic filter. Also disclosed are methods of making such sunscreen compositions, as well as methods for use in protecting skin from ultraviolet radiation.
