(August 21, 2025) – Update from the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy regarding the emergency suspension orders for Wilson Family Pharmacy INC and pharmacist owner Jigna G Patel. The Kentucky Board of Pharmacy has issued an emergency suspension order on Wilson Family Pharmacy INC and pharmacist owner Jigna Patel effective August 15, 2025. The suspension orders follow the filing of a grievance against the pharmacy and pharmacist and a subsequent investigation which was reviewed by the Board’s Case Review Panel. Preliminary findings indicate serious violations of state and federal law, including inadequate security and control of prescription drugs, as well as dispensing and distribution of medication without valid prescriptions. The Case Review Panel determined that continued operation of the pharmacy posed an imminent risk to public health, safety and welfare for citizens of the Commonwealth. The investigation remains ongoing. The Board of Pharmacy is committed to holding pharmacies and pharmacists accountable to the standards of practice and will take all necessary steps to protect the citizens of the Commonwealth.
