Non-compliant Wood Packaging Material Interception Guidance
Summary
The Forestry Commission published an infographic illustrating the top GB ports where non-compliant solid wood packaging material has been intercepted, covering the period 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025. The infographic identifies associated international trading supply regions linked to non-compliant interceptions. This guidance updates previously published infographics covering 2022 to 2024 periods.
What changed
The Forestry Commission published updated interception data for non-compliant solid wood packaging material at UK ports for the period 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025. The infographic supersedes previously published versions covering April 2022 to March 2024. Previous editions included data from October 2022 to March 2023 and April to September 2022.\n\nImporters and exporters using wood packaging materials should be aware of which ports and source regions are associated with higher interception rates. Businesses should ensure wood packaging materials comply with international phytosanitary standards (ISPM 15) to avoid interception and potential delays at UK ports. Accessible formats are available upon request from the Forestry Commission.
