Road Traffic Exemption Order for Duathlon 2026 event
Summary
The Singapore Minister for Home Affairs has issued the Road Traffic (MetaSprint Series Duathlon 2026 — Exemption) Order 2026. This order provides an exemption from certain road traffic rules for participants of the MetaSprint Series Duathlon 2026 event, which will take place on March 15, 2026.
What changed
The Road Traffic (MetaSprint Series Duathlon 2026 — Exemption) Order 2026, issued by the Singapore Minister for Home Affairs, grants an exemption from specific road conduct rules for participants of the MetaSprint Series Duathlon 2026. The exemption applies to individuals registered with the event organizer, Tribob.com Pte. Ltd., who are riding bicycles on designated "specified roads" during the event hours on March 15, 2026, between 4 a.m. and 10 a.m. The exemption is contingent upon the bicycle having valid insurance covering death, bodily injury, and property damage.
This Order is effective from March 15, 2026, and will be in force for the duration of the event. Compliance officers should note that while this order provides an exemption, it requires participants to be registered and to have appropriate insurance coverage for their bicycles. The specific roads affected are detailed in a map within the Schedule of the Order, which is not provided here but would be critical for operational planning.
What to do next
- Review the Schedule for specified roads affected by the duathlon.
- Confirm participant registration and insurance status if involved in event logistics or oversight.
