What changed

The Amendment Notification S 220/2026 modifies the Electricity (Designated Electricity Licensees, etc., under Part 4A) Notification 2025 by inserting two new entries into the Schedule. After existing item 9, the Schedule now includes item 10 (Keppel Sakra Cogen Pte. Ltd.) and item 11 (PLM Power Pte. Ltd.).

The newly designated electricity licensees will now be subject to the regulatory requirements applicable to designated electricity licensees under Part 4A of the Electricity Act 2001, including obligations related to the defined term in section 30A of the Act. Energy companies operating or seeking to operate in Singapore's electricity sector should verify their status on the designated licensee schedule to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
