The Education Office has announced that Mr Anthony Griffin will start as Headteacher of St Anne's School in Alderney from September 2026.
Mr Griffin completed his PGCE in Wales at the University of Aberystwyth. He has worked in a range of roles across different schools, always prioritising pastoral care for his students. His first school was an academy in Cheltenham, UK.
Mr Griffin studied History and English at university and then spent some time teaching abroad in South Korea and Japan. He moved to Jersey in 2018, where he worked as an English teacher before becoming an Assistant Head. While in Jersey, he enjoyed exploring the island and learning about the history of the Channel Islands.
