During the luncheon, Governor Abbott touted Texas as the best business ecosystem in the nation, being named the Best State for Business for 21 consecutive years, number one for economic development for 14 years, and the national leader in job creation thanks to our business-friendly climate and favorable regulatory environment that provides the groundwork small businesses and entrepreneurs need to succeed. The Governor also mentioned the proactive actions taken by the Texas Legislature to reduce regulatory burdens and eliminate unnecessary rules on small businesses to promote economic growth.
