What changed

This Amendment Order makes non-material changes to the A66 Northern Trans-Pennine Development Consent Order 2024. The amendments include: insertion of new Work No. 0102-1D-A for additional carriageway construction east of Kemplay Bank Junction; conversion of several footpaths to cycle tracks (including near the former Llama Karma Kafe and Countess Pillar sites); corrections to distance measurements throughout Schedule 2 tables; removal of certain reference entries; and realignment of various rights of way.

The changes are administrative and technical in nature. The undertaker (National Highways) must submit certified copies of any new, revised or substituted plans to the Secretary of State following the making of this Order. The public and local authorities along the A66 route corridor between Penrith and Appleby should note the updated classifications and measurements for footpaths, bridleways, and access routes.
